The Players Almanac
In every Clubs League game, 18 players take to the diamond looking to help their team win. Some of them are baseball stars, thrilling crowds with every pitch and every swing. Others are hard-working scrappers, fighting just to make a living in the sport. The very best of the Rockean game are enshrined in Rockway's Hall of Fame. For the rest, their careers are but memories for those who were fortunate enough to watch them play.On this page, you can find an index to the Rockway Times' irregular overview of some of the everyday players who made the game the national treasure it is today. Though comprehensive records of every professional player on the islands are kept, these entries are but a sample, a flavour of the men who made the game. Each year, the Times picks a handful of players to represent a baseball season. These are the builders of our baseball history.
